Mortar & Law is an independent publisher with one subject: pharmacy law. MPJE state editions, the Uniform MPJE, the CPJE, and the federal law underneath all of them. Nothing else.
Why a law-only publisher?
Because pharmacy law is where candidates lose the most points, and it is the part of the exam that changes most often. A drug-therapy review can coast for years; a law guide cannot. Rules move, deadlines land, states adopt the uniform exam. We build for that reality.
How the books are made
Every chapter is drafted from the primary law: the statutes, the board's own regulations, and the federal CSA, DEA, and FDA rules. Claims are then checked back against those sources before print, question keys are re-derived independently, and each edition states its effective dates. When a reader reports an error, we verify it against the source and fix it in the files the printer uses, typically within days, because print-on-demand means there is no warehouse of stale stock.

Our books are independent study aids. MPJE is a registered trademark of the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), which does not sponsor or endorse our products. The CPJE is developed and administered by the California State Board of Pharmacy, which likewise does not sponsor or endorse them. And no study guide substitutes for what your board tells you in writing: whatever your state, confirm your requirements with your own board of pharmacy.
