Refund policy
Change of mind. Every Mortar & Law book is printed specifically after an order is placed, so we cannot accept returns for change of mind, except where consumer law gives you a cancellation right. Situations we cannot refund include: the wrong exam, state, edition, or quantity selected; a book no longer needed; a lower price found elsewhere; minor print-on-demand variations in color, trimming, or alignment; and examination results or unmet expectations. We describe our books; we make no promises about exam outcomes. PDF purchases are delivered instantly and are not refundable once downloaded, except where required by law.
Order cancellations and changes. Contact us immediately with your order number if you need to cancel or change an order. Changes are only possible while the order remains within our print partner's production-delay window; once a book enters production it is being made for you.
Damaged or defective copies. If your book arrives damaged, misprinted, or with a binding defect, contact us within 14 days of delivery with your order number, a short description, and photos of the book and packaging. Verified issues receive a replacement, refund, or other appropriate remedy at no cost to you. You do not need to mail the defective copy back.
Wrong item received. If you received a different title than you ordered, contact us with your order number and we will send the correct book at no cost.
Delivery issues. Delays within the estimated delivery window do not automatically qualify for a refund. Orders confirmed lost in transit receive a replacement or remedy in line with applicable law.
EU and UK consumers. Where the law of your country provides a withdrawal right, you may withdraw within 14 days of receipt by contacting us. Return costs are your responsibility unless the item is faulty.
Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable rights you have under your local consumer law.
